Bookmapping allows students to plot the locations of a story on an interactive map, adding pictures, music, and links that share information about plots, characters and setting.  Bookmapping allows students to learn about historical figures in the context of conditions at the time of their lives. Students will be engaged and make connections with the people, culture and places they are reading about. Bookmapping is a great way to explore our global world!

This book discusses using Google Earth, gives you lesson plans, and takes into account whether you have one or multiple computers. Check it out, Heidi
